Hatting or Non-hatting. Which is right for you?

Most street performers offer shows in two styles. Hat or non-hat. Hatting is where the performer asks for money at the end of the performance. This is a more traditional setting for a street show that you would see on the street. However for most corporate events this is not suitable. Below we’ve broken down the differences in the two.

Hat - The more traditional street show. This is useful if your expecting large crowds at your event as the performer may want some guarantee on audience size. During these shows the performer would build the crowd them selves so there is no need to schedule the performance however it may help the performer. You may get a discounted price from the performer if you allow hatting.

Non-hat- Non hatting is better for most events where guests are not expecting to pay for the entertainment. All the excitement of a interactive street show without the pitch at the end. Perfect for large outdoor performances.

Still not sure which is best for you? Give us a call and we can help you decide.
